The iconic symbol of the brand is a star that originated from its iconic line of shoes, the All-Star. The All-Star still remains one of the most influential sneakers of all time.
Capturing Converse's iconic star as a “pentagram person”, representing that everyone is a "star" and unique in their own way. To Converse, the star icon means excellence while the chevron symbol represents progress. Being a classic American brand, the use of colours from the American flag also links back to its history. With a combination of these ideas, the new icon is playful with texture, staying true to Converse’s playful nature while also retaining excellence and progression.
